- As requested by WHO, to provide technical support to WHO in the epidemiological and outbreak assessments in endemic countries
- Under WHO’s leadership, to support WHO in the preparation of protocols for xenodiagnosis and maintenance of sandfly colonies
- In agreement with WHO, to participate in the evaluation of diagnostic and control tools for leishmaniasis
- At WHO’s request and together with WHO, provide training to selected health personnel from endemic countries in the area of entomology, laboratory diagnosis and laboratory quality assurance
