  1. As requested by WHO, to provide technical support to WHO in the epidemiological and outbreak assessments in endemic countries 
  2. Under WHO’s leadership, to support WHO in the preparation of protocols for xenodiagnosis and maintenance of sandfly colonies 
  3. In agreement with WHO, to participate in the evaluation of diagnostic and control tools for leishmaniasis 
  4. At WHO’s request and together with WHO, provide training to selected health personnel from endemic countries in the area of entomology, laboratory diagnosis and laboratory quality assurance
