Terms of Reference:
- At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will support the Organization’s efforts in the implementation of Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) protocols and Bioinformatic analysis, as tools for the characterization of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Genes and other genomic elements.
- At PAHO/WHO´s request and under its direction the proposed institution will support the Organization in its work to develop a database and a visualization tool for antimicrobial resistance genes data derived from the Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) of bacteria isolated from food animals.
- As requested by PAHO/WHO the proposed institution will support PAHO/WHO efforts to strengthen and build capacity in detection, verification and response to foodborne diseases including antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
