- To contribute to WHO's work in generation, analysis and synthesis of information, evidence and research on ear and hearing care (EHC).
- To support WHO's efforts in capacity building on EHC through the provision of specialized training and field testing of WHO tools.
- To assist WHO in implementing the WHO EHC situation analysis tool and planning manual.
- To participate, at the request of WHO, in collaborative projects among the network of WHOCCs concerned with EHC-related issues at the regional and global levels.
