- To support WHO for the implementation of the European Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative
- To provide technical support to WHO in the field of breastfeeding and complementary feeding
- Under WHO’s leadership, to support WHO’s work in the field of marketing of foods to children and to support in the implementation of the nutrient profiling tool for the purposes of marketing regulations and policies as well as to contribute to the work of WHO in the field of monitoring dietary intake and food composition including on salt, "trans" fat, sugar and other nutrients of interest.
- Providing technical support to WHO in the field of global nutrition, especially in the reduction of childhood malnutrition.
