  1. Upon WHO’s request, support WHO’s work for the establishment of international standards and reference panels, meeting WHO priorities, and developing and optimizing laboratory methods and assays. 
  2. Under WHO’s leadership, assist WHO in the development of written standards. 
  3. Support WHO in strengthening capacity building in quality assurance of blood products and in vitro diagnostic devices. 
  4. Upon WHO’s request, assist WHO by conducting the assessment of blood regulation using Global Benchmarking Tool (GBT) plus Blood and Good Production Practices (GPP) implementation.
