- To support WHO in strengthening Eye Health workforces for eye care programmes in developing countries.
- To provide technical assistance to WHO to generate and use data to understand eye problems in vulnerable populations (children and older individuals) and use the knowledge to strengthen eye care delivery systems.
- Upon WHO request, to generate evidence and develop models for integrating eye health into Universal Health Coverage program.
