Terms of Reference:
- To support WHO in strengthening tobacco product regulation capacity through testing and training of laboratories identified by WHO.
- To assist WHO in providing training and support in tobacco products testing, in particular to TobLabNet laboratories in countries with limited resources and capacity, as guided by WHO.
- To provide technical input to WHO which may inform its work related to the coordination of activities of the WHO Tobacco Laboratory Network.
- Upon WHO's request, to provide support for testing of novel and emerging nicotine and tobacco products, such as electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems and related products on the international market.
- To inform WHO's work for the implementation of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control by providing support for the development of a global database for Article 10 of the Convention.
- Upon WHO's request, to evaluate the effects of sugars and flavours in nicotine and tobacco products and provide support for the development of methods for testing and measurement of these analytes.
