Terms of Reference:
- At WHO’s request, provide technical support to WHO in strengthening the epidemiological, entomological, outbreak surveillance and monitoring and evaluation of leishmaniasis in endemic countries.
- In agreement with and under leadership of WHO, to support WHO’s technical work on the evaluation and validation of diagnostic and control tools for leishmaniasis.
- As requested by WHO and jointly with WHO, provide technical support in the dissemination and implementation of the recommendations of the WHO through capacity building support to selected health personnel from endemic countries.
- As requested by WHO, support WHO’s work for strengthening pharmacovigilance and safety of antileishmanial medicines and treatment regimens.
