  3. To conduct collaborative research under WHO's leadership for the improvement and development of PCR - based diagnosis for influenza viruses.  
  4. By request of WHO, to produce and supply reagents for surveillance on influenza viruses. 
  5. By request of WHO, to provide technical assistance to laboratories of the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS).
