  1. At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will support the efforts of the Organization for the surveillance of leprosy relapses, recurrences and primary and secondary antimicrobial drug resistance (AMR) to the drugs used for the treatment of leprosy. 
  2. At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will provide technical input and expertise to PAHO/WHO in its efforts to support endemic Member States to strengthen their national leprosy control programs and improve the leprosy situation.
