Terms of Reference:
- At PAHO/WHO's request the proposed institution will support PAHO/WHO’s capacity building activities towards strengthening regional and global AMR surveillance priorities, and provide scientific and technical input on bacteriology, through antimicrobial susceptibility testing, quality assurance, laboratory assessments and AMR genomic.
- At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will provide PAHO/WHO with scientific and technical support to inform its work on Mycology, through antimicrobial susceptibility testing, quality assurance, laboratory assessments and AMR genomic. These activities will support PAHO/WHO’s capacity building activities towards strengthening regional and global AMR surveillance priorities, including in the context of RELAVRA+ and GLASS.
- At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will provide PAHO/WHO with technical support and input to inform its work on proteomic platforms for bacterial and mycotic pathogens including those with AMR, and genomic and epidemiological surveillance of foodborne bacteria.
- At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will provide PAHO/WHO with technical assistance by facilitating reference laboratory services and training on antimicrobial susceptibility of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, resistance mechanisms, quality assurance surveillance, and AMR genomic.
