- In collaboration with WHO, the proposed CC will provide rapid analysis of urgent infectious problems, notably outbreaks and events of international concern
- At WHO's request, provide technical research capability and in specific disease areas
- In collaboration with WHO, provide training/capacity building in dynamic modeling, study design and statistics
- In collaboration with WHO, coordination of expertise in study design, statistics, and dynamic modelling
- In collaboration with WHO, contribute to WHO information products as indicated and related activities in the work plan, subject to WHO approval
