- To support WHO's activities towards the implementation of the Global Action Plan on Physical Activity
- To support WHO's work to collect and collate information related to food components such as sugar, salt and fat intake.
- To support WHO's work related to social determinants of tobacco and alcohol use and also on monitoring and assessment of health impact of tobacco and alcohol, namely in vulnerable populations (low-income, migrants, persons deprived of freedom, etc.)
- To support WHO's work for assessment of impact of policies on NCDs risk factors, namely through the development of systematic reviews, policy briefs, and modelling analysis development
- To support WHO's work to strengthen capacities for training and education on surveillance and research on NCD risk factors
