- Under WHO’s leadership, to support WHO’s work on furthering the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease (CVD), with specific focus on epidemiology, acute care, primary and secondary prevention and rehabilitation.
- At WHO’s request, to inform WHO’s work towards promoting understanding of value-based care and personalized medicine and their application in the field of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
- Supporting WHO in information dissemination and knowledge management to promote implementation of evidence-based practice in CVDs and other NCDs in countries, based on WHO’s recommendations, guidance and public health messages.
- At WHO’s request, to support WHO’s work on exploring application of eHealth and telemedicine to support the prevention and care of CVD and other NCDs.
