- Support WHO through the study of governance and practices of cities/local governments to cope with and recover from COVID-19, to further strengthen preparedness for the diseases in urban settings
- Work with WHO to identify good practices of Healthy Cities to monitor progress towards SDGs
- Support WHO in strengthening research of urban health and policy in alignment with WHO's framework for urban health
- Collaborate with cities/local governments to strengthen the role of the Alliance for Healthy Cities to meet needs of cities/local governments and support adaptation, adoption, and implementation of good practices in urban governance
