  1. At PAHO/WHO's request the proposed institution and under its guidance will develop advice in improving enteric and fungal disease outbreak detection, investigation, and response to foodborne diseases emergencies 
  2. At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will support the efforts of the Organization in implementing genomic epidemiology in enteric and mycotic diseases at country level. 
  3. At PAHO/WHO’s request the proposed institution will provide technical input for laboratory-based surveillance and epidemiological investigations for enteric and fungal pathogens especially where there is antimicrobial resistance.
