I discovered I had rheumatic heart disease (RHD) three years ago, when I had an emergency cardiac operation. Now my health is better, but it is difficult to find permanent work as I still get some swelling. I used to be a cleaner and was the breadwinner of the family – now I’m unemployed it is much harder. Thankfully I find great comfort in my faith, and love getting involved in community netball.
