I got diagnosed 22 years ago in snowy November. I was too little to understand the implications of Type 1 Diabetes. Improvements in medical and nursing science have led to a better quality of life. Diabetes helps me to see things from a different perspective. One thing I wish to make clear is the impact of policy for people living with diabetes. Without proactive policy makers academic and industrial inventions can’t be implemented to reduce the risk for complications.
