My grandfather died of heart disease and my father had an episode of myocardial infarction few days back. I was shocked to see his reports, and his condition was a saddening situation. However, the actual dilemma is that people in my family have a lot of misconceptions and myths with them. Their beliefs lead them to think that these diseases are completely curable and prevention plays no role in the control and management of these diseases . Now I am struggling to make him take his medicines regularly and regular blood pressure monitoring. It had a strong Impact on our family and I want to educate people about these NCDs and their lifelong effects on us.
