Jane my family relative has diabetes, which led to loss of one of our family members due to late diagnosis. In the early 1980s patients were not screened during treatment and due to a shortage of lab services in rural areas, but now I am proud to note that everyone has access to screening due to digital glucometers which are portable and easy to use.
