These diseases are characterized by the formation of multiple blisters in the epidermis and mucous membranes. The most prevalent clinical forms are pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid and dermatitis herpetiformis. Brief descriptions of these diseases and their treatment are presented below. However, it is important to point out that patients with these diseases should, if possible, be treated under the direction of specialists at secondary- and tertiary-level facilities because of the types of drugs that are required, as well as the length of treatment and the possibility of serious side-effects from both the diseases and the drugs used in treatment.
