WHO psychiatric disability assessment schedule (WHO/DAS : with a guide to its use

Abstract

Presents and explains the WHO Psychiatric Disability Assessment Schedule (‎WHO/DAS)‎. This schedule, finalized after extensive field testing in several countries, was developed to provide a simple tool for assessing disturbances in social adjustment and behaviour in patients with a mental disorder and for identifying some of the factors that may influence these dysfunctions. The schedule, which is reproduced in the first half of the book, consists of 97 interview items presented in four sections covering overall behaviour, social role performance, functioning of the patient in hospital, and modifying factors.
