Prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases in refugees and migrants: Technical guidance

View/ Open
Abstract
This technical guidance outlines current best practice, evidence and knowledge in order to inform policy and programme development in the area of noncommunicable disease management and control for refugees and migrants. It highlights key principles, summarizes priority actions and challenges, maps available resources and tools and provides policy options and practical recommendations to improve noncommunicable disease-related interventions for refugees and migrants in the WHO European Region. The target audience for this document includes those with a central role in policy-making at local, national and regional levels, and across all sectors of governance; it is not only for those within the health or migration sectors. Clinicians, fieldworkers and other practitioners are invited to draw upon this publication; however, it is not intended to be at a level that would inform their daily work.Citation
