Strengthening health financing systems in the Eastern Mediterranean Region towards universal health coverage: health financing atlas 2018
AbstractHealth financing plays an essential role in ensuring progress towards universal health coverage. This health financing atlas presents an analysis of the health financing systems in the 22 countries of WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean Region. It includes an overview of the health financing situation in the Region, along with country specific analysis describing the Region’s health financing systems country by country. It is hoped that the atlas will assist countries as they reform and transform their health financing systems to address ongoing challenges, promote financial protection, and enhance access to quality health services in the pursuit of universal health coverage
