AbstractNutrient profiling entails the classification of foods according to nutritional composition for reasons related to health. It is a critical tool for the implementation of restrictions on the marketing of unhealthy foods to children. This nutrient profile model is designed for use by policy-makers in countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region for the purposes of restricting food marketing to children
