Abstract
The strategic framework for blood safety and availability (2016–2025), with its accompanying framework for action and priority interventions, is intended to guide countries in developing and strengthening national blood systems to ensure the continuity, sufficiency, sustainability and security of national supplies of safe and efficacious blood and blood components to meet national needs.
