Recognizing the growing importance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and its serious impact on health services, the 67th Session of the World Health Assembly requested WHO to draft a comprehensive Global Action Plan on AMR. The draft Global Action Plan was developed during 2014-2015 through an extensive global consultation. The 68th session of the World Health Assembly adapted the Global Action Plan and also urged Member States to draft and implement national action plans on AMR during
2015-2017. This document includes the adapted Global Action Plan and resolution (WHA68.7) for ready reference of Member states and stakeholders.
