Abstract
This publication provides guidance and a tool for assessing interactions of HIV programmes with national health systems. The purpose of such assessment is to explore to what degree and how HIV programme functions are integrated into national health systems and to study the positive and negative aspects of these interactions in view of HIV programme and health system performance. Assessment aims to promote thinking and discussion on these issues among key stakeholders, namely government, private sector and civil society leaders involved in public health, and representatives of beneficiaries. The results should inform national planning and the preparation of grant proposals for HIV programme and health systems strengtheningCitation
