The Pandemic influenza preparedness framework (PIP) is a unique framework, which brings together Member States, industry, other stakeholders and WHO to implement a global approach to pandemic influenza preparedness and response. Member States in the South-east East Asia Region, particularly Indonesia, played a key role in its development. This is the report of the first regional Regional workshop on implementation of PIP in the Region, which includes sessions on virus sharing, laboratory and surveillance, burden of disease studies, risk communication, and regulatory capacity- building.Citation
