dc.description.abstractDescription: This Report summarizes the proceedings of a three-day event, the first of its kind for the Region, that brought together patients, family members, health care professionals, lawyers, media and policy makers to build partnerships to make health care safer in the Region. The meeting culminated in the drafting of the 'Jakarta Declaration on Patients for Patient Safety in Countries of the South-East Asia Region' which was endorsed as an amendment to Resolution SEA/RC59/R3 on 'Promoting Patient Safety in Health Care' by the Regional Committee at their 60th Session in Thimpu, Bhutan, in December 2007.en_US
