AbstractDescription: Communicable diseases continue to be major public health problem in Member States of South-East Asia Region of WHO. These diseases are accorded priority in national health agenda in all Member States. WHO has been working closely with them in combating these diseases. This document briefly presents salient progress that has been made in the Region over the past five years (2005-10), with technical assistance from WHO.
