AbstractDescription: Leprosy is a debilitating chronic disease caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium leprae (M. laprae). Six out of 16 countries reporting more than 1000 cases of leprosy annually are in the WHO South-East Asia Region. This booklet answers some questions, frequently asked by the general public.
