    • Dengue fever in a tertiary hospital in Makkah, Saudi Arabia

      Dengue fever is endemic in the western part of Saudi Arabia. This study aimed at describing the clinical and laboratory profiles of dengue fever patients admitted to a tertiary hospital in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, from 2006 to 2008. A total of 159 dengue fever patients were admitted during the spring and early summer. Their mean age was 25.6±16.1 years. Males outnumbered females by a ratio of 2:1.
