Appropriate neuropsychiatric drugs for primary health care
View/ Open
Abstract
An essential aspect of a comprehensive mental health programme is the provision of appropriate neuropsychiatric drugs. These guidelines deal with the availability of neuropsychiatric drugs, dosages, and how to safeguard against their abuse or misuse, and covers different areas of clinical, managerial and training application. Also included are WHO's recommendations for preparing practical plans of action. The guidelines will be of special interest to decision makers who have responsibility for mental health programmes, mental health professionals involved in training different levels of health personnel and all those concerned with the integration of mental health into the primary health care systemCitation
