By following the primary health care approach the preventive objective of occupational health services in the workplace is emphasized. The manual outlines a curriculum for training of primary health care/community health workers. It comprises a trainers guide and 12 modules covering a full range of relevant areas including work hazards, occupational and other work-related diseases, epidemiology, ergonomics, safety and accident prevention, first aid, health education, record keeping and occupational health for women and children
