Abstract
The purpose of the meeting was to review the collaboration between WHO European Region and its collaborating institutions and NGOs in the development of PHC in Europe. As a number of changes has taken place both within WHO and in the international panorama of PHC organizations in Europe, there is need for strategic planning of future cooperation. The meeting was held in Barcelona, Spain, 29-30 September 2000 and hosted by the WHO European Office for Integrated Health Care Services (IHB). The meeting was attended by representatives from WHO Collaborating Centres, and other partners and institutions within the area of public health and primary health care. The participants concluded that there was a need to explore various types of networking to further strengthen the collaboration between WHO and its partners in the area of primary health care. Recommendations were made to this effect, including adding links to each centre/partner on the WHO Barcelona office's websiteCitation
