Abstract
Founded in 1992, the EuroPharm Forum had its 10th Annual Meeting in 2001, with 74 participants from 25 countries. The Meeting consisted of sessions for both professional and administrative business. Reports of activities during the past year and proposals for future activities were made, and a poster exhibition was held. The participants took part in six workshops on projects being carried out by Forum members and in a symposium on professionalism and ethics. The Forum approved revised versions of a protocol and guidelines on diabetes care, and decided to start a pilot virtual exchange group to discuss self-care and the dispensing of non-prescription drugs. The participants recommended continuing and expanding the programme of twinning pharmacists' associations in different countries to facilitate the implementation of the patient education campaign "Ask about your medicines". Finally, the Forum approved applications for membership from pharmaceutical associations in Estonia and PolandCitation
