The Sixty-ninth World Health Assembly was held at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, from 23 to 28 May 2016, in accordance with the decision of the Executive Board at its 137th session.1 The theme for the general discussion in plenary meetings was “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.2
