Evaluation year: 2011

ADI:
0–1.5 mg/kg bw

Comments:
The Committee withdrew the temporary ADI of 0–0.8 mg/kg body weight per day and re-established the ADI of 0–1.5 mg/kg body weight, originally established at the eighteenth meeting.
Specs Code:
M

Evaluation year: 2008

ADI:
0-0.8 mg/kg bw
Comments:
temporary ADI of 0–0.8 mg/kg bw for PDMS , based on the previous ADI and applying an additional safety factor of 2.The previously established ADI of 0– 1.5 mg/kg bw was withdrawn. Results of studies are pending to elucidate the mechanism and relevance of the ocular toxicity and provision of data on actual use levels in foods. The temporary ADI applies to PDMS that meets the revised specifications prepared at the present meeting. The temporary ADI will be withdrawn if the required data are not provided before the end of 2010.
