dc.descriptionThe seventh meeting of the World Health Organization's South-East Asia Regional Immunization Technical Advisory Group (‎SEAR-ITAG)‎ was held from 7 to 10 June 2016 in New Delhi, India. SEAR-ITAG is a regional technical expert group comprising of experts from disciplines such as programme management, communicable diseases/vaccine preventable diseases (‎VPD)‎ control, virology, epidemiology and immunization. SEAR-ITAG provides support on setting regional priorities for immunization and technical support for strengthening routine immunization services to member states. It meets annually with the participation of national Expanded Programme of Immunization (‎EPI)‎ managers, VPD surveillance focal points and partners to review progress on increasing immunization coverage, VPD surveillance performance, programme issues, and matters related to vaccine safety and quality assurance. Further, it provides guidance on ways to improve and sustain overall high quality performance of EPI in member states. This publication provides an overview of conclusions and recommendations of the annual meeting of the SEAR-ITAG held in 2016.en_US
