This was the first meeting of the reconstituted South-East Asia Regional Programme Review Group(RPRG) for Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis(LF) with all nine endemic countries brought into one group. Apart from six RPRG members, the meeting was attended by three special invitees and five WHO staff. The objectives of the meeting included reviewing the progress of LF elimination in the Region in relation to mapping, mass drug administration and disability alleviation activities, identification of constraints and resource gaps, suggestions for resource mobilization and reviewing/approving applications from Member countries for the drug-albendazole. The publication includes an overview of the global/regional progress, summary of the annual reports from Member countries, RPRG views on technical issues and a set of general and country-specific recommendations.الإستشهاد
