dc.description.abstractThe WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia organized an intercountry workshop on "strengthening use of health information at the district level" with the emphasis on capacity building on collection, analysis and presenting data from both hospital and district health information systems supporting evidence - based decision making at district level. Technical presentations, case studies, working papers and group works were used to improve the data analysis and presenting skills of the participants. Experience of seven Member countries on best practices with regard to use of information for decision making was also presented and shared. This intercountry workshop addressed the recommendations of the Regional Consultation held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in June 2008.en_US
