Resumo
The state of the health of the child is often a reflection of the changing patterns within both the country and the region. in which that child lives. It is often the result of many factors: nutrition, the health status of women, economic factors, social and religious influences and accessibility to health care. This second edition looks at the state of the health of the child in the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region in the early 1990s, how the pattern has changed in recent years and priority measures to be taken to improve the existing situation. This publication will be of interest to all those involved in policy formulation and the delivery of health care services to mothers and childrenCitação
