Hosted by the National Health Services Executive, West Midlands, United Kingdom and in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, the WHO Regional Office for Europe convened a working group on lifestyles and behavioural change in Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom from 24 to 28 November 1997. The group assessed the up-to-date evidence of the effectiveness of primary care-based interventions and strategies to implement such interventions in the four areas of smoking, alcohol drinking, diet and physical activity. The objectives were to ensure that primary care-based interventions can be based on the best scientific evidence, and to identify needs for future research引用
