  1. To assist in the area of radiation emergency preparedness and response and REMPAN, as appropriate. 
  2. To contribute to biodosimetry and radiation biology research. 
  3. To support the work of WHO’s International EMF Project on activities related to electromagnetic fields (0 to 300 GHz) and health.  
  4. To participate in WHO activities on optical radiation protection and to WHO’s INTERSUN Programme. 
  5. To provide technical support to WHO concerning radiation protection in medical uses of ionizing radiation.  
  6. To contribute to WHO's International Radon Project activities on radon risk communication and protection.
