To contribute to the WHO/Europe Human Resources for Health Programme and its technical area of work on nursing and midwifery by identifying models of good nursing and midwifery practice, collecting evidence to support evidence-informed decision making, and providing technical advice related to the respective area.  
  2. To support WHO efforts in strengthening nursing education at national, regional and global levels, disseminating and using WHO tools/guidelines and adopting best practice approaches.  
  3. To work co-operatively with other WHO Collaborating Centres, to coordinate and administer European CC network for nursing and midwifery.
