- 1. To implement WHO's guidelines to prevent blindness due to diabetic eye disease through conducting diabetic screening program
- 2. By request of WHO to undertake training of Ophthalmic Midlevel Personnel in order to remove the gross deficiency at National Level as part of WHO Vision 2020 program
- 3. To assist WHO in conducting Public Awareness Campaigns on special occasions like World Glaucoma Day, World Sight Day etc.
- 4. Applied Research in the fields of corneal blindness and blindness from glaucoma in collaboration with WHO
- 5. To assist WHO's efforts in organizing events in the field of Prevention of Blindness
- 6. Annual Scientific Symposia for Eye Care Professionals to highlight the WHO collaborating activities of Al-Shifa Trust
- 7. To implement WHO's guidelines to prevent blindness and visual impairment due to refractive errors through conducting Refractive Error Screening Program
