- •To increase the awareness of policy makers on the public health impact of diabetes in the Region.
- •In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, work on the integration of diabetes prevention and care into the primary health care.
- •To work closely with the national health authorities in the development, implementation and evaluation of a national programme for diabetes prevention and control.
