Terms of Reference:
- To support national policies and delivery plans on occupational health through our strategic key role as advisor to the Labour Inspectorate and the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion
- To participate in and contribute to the network of the WHO CC in Occupational Health, and to work for the implementation of the WHO Global Strategy on occupational health for all and the WHO Global Plan of Action
- To undertake and support scientific collaboration and research on occupational health (chemical and biological work environment, epidemiology/occupational medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, organizational and psychosocial work environment)
- To promote National Surveillance of Occupational Environment and Health in cooperation with WHO and within the WHO CC Network on occupational health
- To participate in the development of occupational health services on a national level (The Secreteriat for OHS in Norway)
- To participate in regional, national and international approaches to identify and reduce occupational risks and to disseminate such knowledge on a national level (regulatory toxicology, chemical hazards)
- To provide training and short courses on occupational health (research scholarships on occupational health, postdoc positions, specialist training of medical doctors on occupational health) on a national and regional level – in cooperation with WHO and the WHO CC network and NIVA.
- To share the Nordic experience in tripartite cooperation as basis for research and policy on occupational health and environment
