Terms of Reference:
  1. When requested by WHO, provide training courses on the value of implementation of new diagnostic tools for laboratory professionals, epidemiologists, physicians and nurses involved in TB control in the framework of the End TB Strategy 
  2. Under WHO’s leadership provide support to implement sequencing capacity including next generation sequencing aimed at surveillance of drug resistant tuberculosis (and other multidrug resistant pathogens) at country level. This includes services to resources limited countries through training of local staff for both wet component and data analysis 
  3. When requested by WHO, provide technical support and build capacity at country level to strengthen laboratory system and diagnosis of TB in accordance with the End TB Strategy 
  4. Under WHO’s leadership implement operational research aiming at developing the best diagnostic algorithm and tools evaluation to screen for TB in migrants to contribute to the End TB Strategy 
  5. At WHO’s request, support DRS projects and prevalence surveys according to WHO guideline at national or regional level and to implement strategies to reduce inequalities
